ABOUT
We turn intercepted food into delicious meal for ANYONE to enjoy - there's no restriction on who can enjoy eating with us. The only restriction is that all our food has come from sources intended to be thrown away.
What we do : We believe that the food waste produced is unnecessary and should be feeding people instead of being thrown away. We started collecting food from local supermarkets in April 2016 and launched our project shortly after. We now regularly intercept and cook food and make sure this food isn't being binned.

We don't serve food we wouldn't eat |
We are frequently asked about food safety - we use our common sense when it comes to the food we cook and sell. Much of the food we intercept is from broken bags or boxes or when a company changes a recipe or packaging. We also have donations from local growers who have vegetables or fruit which is surplus to requirement or when they need to replant. Often if one thing is broken or bruised, ie fruit, the whole pack is binned - when they are perfectly edible. We sort, chop, cook and freeze everything which can be used. Things past their best ie, bread, pastries etc go to animal feed or local peoples chickens - we compost peelings and organic matter. When we have a huge glut of fresh produce we put what we can in our pop up shop, and we are able to take some to our local Foodbank.
